JICA offer human resource development scholarships to 60 Vietnamese civil servants

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), together with the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, recently launched the application of the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarships courtesy of Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) 2020.

The JDS programme 2020 is targeting young government officials who are expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.

JDS provides full scholarships including tuition fees, flight tickets, a monthly stipend and other allowances funded by the Government of Japan through its official development assistance fund (ODA).

Launched in Vietnam in 2000, the program has dispatched 691 Vietnamese fellows to Japan.

JDS fellows are required to write thesis papers in English for the application deadline on December 25, 2020. Up to 60 final successful candidates will be selected by March 2021 and dispatched to Japan in August 2021.
